By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Website immediately.

Nothing on this Website constitutes a legally binding offer. Participation is confirmed only after successful payment and written confirmation by CreteRoots.

2. About CreteRoots

CreteRoots offers olive tree participation programs designed to support traditional agriculture, sustainability, and cultural heritage in Crete.

Participation:

  • Is symbolic in nature

  • Does not grant ownership of land, trees, or agricultural output

  • Does not involve farming activities or profit sharing

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a contract under Greek law.

Payment details must belong to you or be used with explicit authorization.

4. Accounts (If Applicable)

Creating an account may be required for participation or communication.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Keep login credentials confidential

  • Notify us of any unauthorized access

CreteRoots is not responsible for losses caused by user negligence.

5. Participation & Confirmation

Participation is considered accepted when:

  • Payment is completed successfully

  • You receive a confirmation email from CreteRoots

CreteRoots reserves the right to decline participation requests for legitimate reasons, including technical errors or compliance concerns.

6. Nature of the Program (Important)

Participation in the CreteRoots program:

  • Is symbolic and non-commercial

  • Does not imply ownership of olive trees or land

  • Does not include agricultural products

  • Does not create employment, partnership, or investment relationships

All descriptions are informational and cultural in nature.

7. Pricing & Payments

Prices are displayed in euros (€).

Payments are processed through secure third-party providers (e.g. PayPal, card processors).
CreteRoots does not store payment card information.

Confirmed payments are final, except where EU consumer law mandates otherwise.

8. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights)

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days from the date of purchase, unless:

  • The participation is personalized (e.g. certificate issued in your name), or

  • The service has already begun with your consent

Once personalization or symbolic dedication has been completed, withdrawal is no longer possible.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website (including text, images, logos, designs, certificates, and emblems) is the intellectual property of CreteRoots or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without prior written permission.

CreteRoots:
